![]() Hi all, welcome to my new blog. I hope you find something of worth that contributes to your health. I hope to share not only my opinions based off of experience, but also the research I have done to support my lifestyle, health habits, and wellness pursuits. There are a few things I would like to go over before I post any informational blogs. First I want to share with you why I started this blog (see my About page). I am a Registered Nurse whose healthy habits and lifestyle practices have been evolving for over 15+ years. Friends and coworkers are regularly asking me what my interpretation of being healthy is. I decided to start a blog I could reference people to when they asked me for information or sources that support my current health and lifestyle practices. I hope you find my opinions, interpretations, and perceptions on health and wellness stimulating, motivating you to assess your own views on health and well being. Second, please review my Disclaimer. Please take time to read it and know that this blog is based solely on my opinions and personal research. I do not intend anyone harm. I only want to present ideas and the research I have found to support those ideas. Again, please read my Disclaimer. Third is the issue of references, research, and supporting evidence. In the medical profession, sources are not deemed reputable, credible, or valid unless they are peer-reviewed or from a reliable source. Often times peer-reviewed, reliable sources are government or big-business funded. Unfortunately, I have found that even these sources can be tainted. To present all sides, I will occasionally site references and support that comes from different types of backgrounds. Essentially I will do the evidence searching footwork and from there it is your responsibility to decide what you think is accurate (legit) or inaccurate (completely biased and tainted). If I do create cited reference pages for any particular post, it will be in American Psychological Association (APA) formatting. Comments are closed.
